Ease Into Healthy Eating

You've wondered if a meat-free diet could help you lose weight.  You've thought about trying it.  But isn't it expensive?  Isn't it complicated?  Wouldn't you miss the meat?
Truth is:   if you want to try a vegetarian diet, it doesn't have to be all or nothing and it doesn't have to be difficult.



Everybody's talking about a plant-based diet.  Some research shows it can help manage weight.  There's plenty of research about the health benefits of a mostly vegetarian diet.  But do you have to live on salads and mac n' cheese?  What about summer BBQ's or ready-made-food for those quick and easy nights?

You can also follow the recommendations of starting gradually.  If you're interested in experimenting with meat-free meals, plan for one or two a week.

Taste the adventure of vegetarian dining at well-respected establishments such as Blind Faith Cafe' in Evanston.

You can find tasty vegetarian offerings at your favorite Thai or Chinese restaurants.  Try substituting beef or chicken with Tofu.  You may not even notice the difference!
