What Are You Paying for Your Pain?Posted by: Catherine Johns in Inspiration on Apr 26, 2011 Tagged in: General

How much does it cost to do hypnosis to _________? Fill in the blank – lose weight, quit smoking, stop grinding my teeth …
People are quick to ask how much it will cost to solve their problem. It’s often the first question they come up with.
But what is the problem costing them?
I asked a woman the other day how much it’s costing her to carry around that excess weight. “Oh my gosh,” she said, “That’s a terrible thing to say to someone who struggles with their weight!”
It’s actually a very reasonable question. Maybe you’ve heard Dr. Oz talk about the financial consequences of being overweight. Some are obvious, like bigger grocery bills and restaurant meals and higher insurance rates. Others are unexpected: heavy people have to buy more gasoline to fuel their heavier cars. And then there are health care costs! Obesity is adding millions to what Americans pay for medical care.
But beyond that, don’t we pay a psychological price for staying on the same old path? The misery. The embarrassment. The utter hopelessness. Those painful emotions are a heavy price to pay for our unwillingness to finally do something different.
Change ain’t cheap, for sure. There’s work to be done, sometimes a lot of it. And if we enlist someone else in our effort, of course, we pay them for their professional help.
But staying stuck? Clinging to the old habits and the old mind-set that got us right where we are now? We really can’t afford that, can we?
When you’re ready to stop paying for your pain and start investing in feeling better … when you’re ready to change your state, change a habit … or even change your life … Chicago Hypnosis Center can help.

The comment about using more gas in our cars because of the extra weight really hits home now with gas prices at close to $5. We are quick to throw good money at another fad diet but hesitate when it comes to getting the support that can really benefit us. I'm glad I made the decision to put my money to good use and go to see Catherine at Chicago Hypnosis Center. It's changing my life every day!
